My name is Taren and I was born and raised on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, in the quiet seaside town of Mill Bay.
I grew up with my small family on a farm that was settled over a hundred years ago by my English ancestors, dancing through the gardens like a faerie princess, swimming and paddling in the ocean and spending as much time outdoors as possible!
I have a kind heart and a soft soul and I love to adventure and play. I have two lovely, magical children, whom I love with all of my heart, plus numerous cats and dogs and other fluffy animal friends!
I am honoured to be able to share my gift of Reiki healing with my local community!
When my world became dark and stifling, I dove deep into what I wanted my life to look like. I found the courage to face the facts and make the adjustments that would forever change the course of my life. With a lot of self-care and healing, I found myself walking on a path that finally felt authentic and fulfilling. I trusted that this journey of spiritual growth and awareness was bringing me back towards myself and helping me find peace and inner happiness.
You never know where you will end up or who you will meet, but having faith that you will be provided exactly what you need allows you to open up to the incredible blessings and opportunities that the Universe has to offer. I embraced this knowing and followed my heart with every step and it led me to find/rediscover Reiki energy healing, a practice that I feel I have known for lifetimes.
I first discovered how beneficial Reiki was when I visited a local healer and left feeling lighter and clearer- like a weight had been lifted off of my mind and body. After attending a spiritual retreat (Soul Summit Retreat in Sooke, BC), I decided to sign up for a Usui Reiki 1 Course being offered by Reiki Master Nichole, one of the hosts of the summit. The course was beautiful and empowering and it felt wonderful to be surrounded by like-minded women. I immediately began noticing the positive effects that Reiki had on myself and my children and I knew I wanted to pursue it further. I completed my Usui Holy Fire
® Reiki Master training in October 2025, further opening my eyes to the magic of Reiki! I am delighted to be able to offer a combination of traditional Usui Reiki and Holy Fire® Reiki to my clients.
The joy that helping others brings me and the gratitude I have for this healing gift is immense. Knowing the discomfort that comes with feeling stuck and having found my way to a place of joy and belonging makes me want to aid others in their journey of self-discovery and healing. It is a magical roller-coaster ride of emotions, energy flow and remembrance; embracing one’s light and shadow sides; being present and feeling into each and every moment fully. It is challenging and empowering and worth every single step! There truly is no greater gift than the gift of self-love!
